Lesson 14: Collaborative music production

Objective: Students will learn how to collaborate on a music project using Soundation’s online features. Materials: Computers with internet access, Soundation accounts, speakers, and headphones.

Activities:

    Introduction to online collaboration (10 mins):
    • Explain the importance of collaboration in the music industry.
    • Demonstrate how to share projects and collaborate in real-time on Soundation.

    Group project planning (10 mins):
    • Students form groups and plan a collaborative project, assigning roles (e.g., melody, rhythm, vocals, mixing).

    Collaboration session (30 mins):
    • Groups work together in real-time to create a collaborative track.

    Discussion (10 mins):
    • Each group presents their progress and discusses the collaborative process.

Assignment:

Complete the collaborative project and prepare it for presentation in the next class.
